Find Adventure at Atlantic Canada National Parks

Atlantic Canada’s natural beauty shines at each of their national parks. Whatever type of adventure you seek, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy. Climb rocks, zipline, fish, have a picnic or simply just people watch. With emerald green lakes or turquoise waters, lush forests to explore, and kilometers of trails and mountains to climb, spend a day at one of Atlantic Canada’s national parks to celebrate nature at its finest. Starting in Nova Scotia, Kejimkujik National Park (Keji), is home to two areas to explore. The main park’s unique terrain is filled with hiking trails, flowing falls, and many recreational activities, while the seaside Adjunct and wilderness protected area along the Atlantic features sandy beaches, water sports and coastal magnificence. New Brunswick’s Fundy National Park features the world's highest tides and offers scenic vistas and sandstone cliffs.

Kejimkujik National Park

Operated by the Canadian National Parks system, the Kejimkujik National Park is located in Queens County and Annapolis County in Nova Scotia.

Encompassing 404 square kilometers of Atlantic Canada, Keji is also known as the Kejimkujik National Historic Site. Make the short drive in from nearby Bridgewater.

Established in 1974, Keji features waterways like Kejimikujik Lake, Mersey River, and Still Brook – along with the 25-kilometer Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct. Kejimkujik National Park also offers over 15 hiking trails, wildlife and dark sky viewing, biking, water sports, and fishing.

Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct

Stretching along 22 square kilometers, the Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct is set in Nova Scotia along the coast of Atlantic Canada. Part of the Kejimkujik National Park and the Kejimkujik National Historic Site, the seaside is operated by the Canadian National Parks system.

The Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct features the five-kilometer Harbour Rocks Trail, and the nine-kilometer Port Joli Head Trail – plus picnic areas, bird-watching and seal-viewing spots, and the white-sanded St. Catherines River Beach.

Kouchibouguac National Park

Plan for outdoor adventures in New Brunswick at the Kouchibouguac National Park. One of the very best and more exceptional parks in all of Atlantic Canada, Kouchibouguac National Park is nearly 60,000 acres of gorgeous landscapes, wooded areas, and beaches.

As you plan your day at Kouchibouguac – that's "koo-chee-boo-wock" – be sure to explore Kelly's Beach Boardwalk where you can spot over 100 different bird species. The Voyager Canoe Experience is ideal during spring and summer, and Patterson Hill is the spot during the winter for tobogganing.
